  1. There are a lot more to consider when choosing between the elliptical trainer and the stationary bike. If you do not have any lower body injuries, I would recommend alternating both equipment every week. This is to give more variety and prevent burn out from using the same machine again and again.

  2. Great one bud! This was my question a long time ago but has never been answered. I personally choose stationary bikes over elliptical trainers because I had an injury on my knees two years back. It was sort of a rehabilitation that turned into a regular exercise routine for me.

  3. The arms in stationary bikes cannot be really trained because they are more or less stationary during the whole exercise routine. With regard to elliptical trainers, you must move the arms back and forth. You also feel the strain in your arms when you use elliptical trainers. Better to use elliptical trainers if you want to tone your arms.
